If you get a ticket in LibAnswers prompting you to replace a toner or a drum, please do so.
When there is no ticket in LibAnswers, but you believe there is an issue with a toner or drum, you should check on the number of actual pages left via the device's webpage before replacing the toner or drum. To do so:
1. Select the Learning Commons tab in the above menu, then select the Printer Status option on the top.
2. Find the device in question in the Printer list on the left.
3. Click on the "supplies and paper levels" link under Device Status for that device.
4. Once the device page opens, click on the Supplies Status Page link on the left.
5. On the page that opens, find the toner or the drum in question. For example, if you are checking on the black toner, find the Black Cartridge entry. If you are looking for a cyan drum, find the Cyan Drum entry.
6. For that toner or drum, check the Approximate Pages Remaining number.
7. If the number is 500 pages or less, replace the toner or the drum. If it is more than 500 pages, do not replace it, it still has life left in it.
If you found that the number of pages is more than 500, but the device does not print, look for another possible issue causing it. For instance, the device may have a paper jam. If you cannot find the issue, put an Out of Order sign on the device and submit a ticket by selecting Learning Commons/Report a Problem above.
Remember that anytime you replace a toner or drum, you have to notify EaglePrint (see Lyndon's post below).
