BW printers fail to send "Cartridge Low" alerts. Robert is aware of the issue, but has not found a resolution yet. This means two things:
1. You need to physically check the printers periodically. Always check the BW printers when you zone—the three printers on Level 2 and one printer on Level 1—and make sure their control panels say READY.
2. When you replace the black toner cartridge, you need to notify eagleprint@emory.edu. Since there is no ticket in LibAnswers, use the "Report LC technical issues" entry in the left menu of this page and choose the "Report an issue with printers" option. Then report the replacement of the toner, specify the printer, and sign your name.
This only concerns BW printers. The MFPs and the GBL printer do report the need to replace toner in LibAnswers as they should.
