LSD Printing: Does your print job really cost $10,000?

Post date: Feb 11, 2019 12:51:20 PM

Hello LSD Student Team,

Students are getting a message related to their printing that certain prints are costing $10,000 a page. This is happening as a result of a deliberate attempt by Eagle Print to help identify print jobs that are NOT using the correct letter size. If you encounter this issue in the future, please direct students to the link below.

Does your print job really cost $10,000+?

it.emory.edu

No. The paper size setting needs to be changed, so it can be printed at an EaglePrint station.

It states, "No, a $10,000+ print charge only shows up on MyPrintCenter when a file is uploaded that is NOT set to use “Letter” sized paper. This dollar amount is deliberately set to prevent you being charged for non-letter sized documents that cannot be printed at EaglePrint stations via MyPrintCenter."

This message is also followed by a workaround instructing them on how they can send up the correct print letter size. Please feel free to ask any staff person if there are any questions or concerns regarding this matter.
