New feature for EaglePrint: MyPrintCenter

Post date: Feb 28, 2018 10:29:20 PM

The MyPrintCenter webpage is now live to all users: https://eagleprint.emory.edu/myprintcenter.

From there users can log in using the Emory NetID/password, and upload files they wish to print. This is available via any device with a web browser; desktop, laptop (including Chromebooks), tablet, mobile phone, etc. Once a file is uploaded, users can modify the print options; bw/color, simplex/duplex, # of copies, and specific page ranges.

A few things to know:

  • One “feature” of MyPrintCenter that I think may cause some confusion, is that color print jobs *will* show up at BW print stations. However, if a user does release the print job, they will only be charged the BW price. As this scenario would be ‘user error’, they would not be entitled to a refund as part of the EaglePrint refund policy. This will be mentioned in our online documentation at the EaglePrint website once it is published.

  • There are mobile apps in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. However, the apps do not yet work with Emory’s Single-Sign-On service, so we will not be supporting them at this time (no ETA of this). We will not be making any mention of this to the student population until the apps are updated to support SSO. The apps will be disabled from the server-side for the time-being.

  • Print jobs sent from the EaglePrint/Pharos software installed on a computer will show up in the list of available print jobs, but *will not* be editable with the Print Options.

For any users who have questions, you can send them to the EaglePrint website: http://it.emory.edu/eagleprint. Information related to MyPrintCenter can be found there.

As a reminder, until Apple and/or HP release a fix for our current issue mentioned at the top of the EaglePrint website, using MyPrintCenter is our official workaround for the issue.
