Deep Cleaning: Level 1

Post date: Jul 07, 2016 7:6:1 PM

Deep cleaning continues on Level 1. There is a printed Level 1 floor map at the supervisor's desk. As you have completed your round of deep cleaning, please circle what you have cleaned on the map and initial each circle. That will let us know what has been already done and who was responsible for it in case a follow up is needed.

The idea of deep cleaning is to clean everything and do it well. Here is what needs to be done on Level 1:

1. Tables without computer workstations - wipe each table clean with Windex and paper towels. Make sure there is no dust/dirt left anywhere.

2. Tables with computer workstations - turn over each keyboard and shake out the dirt. Wipe each table clean with Windex and paper towels (moving the computer, keyboard, mouse, mousepad out of the way to clean the entire table).

3. Computers, keyboards, mice - clean them thoroughly. Clean the computer stands and the backs of the computers. Use Windex sprayed on paper towels for cleaning, except for the monitors.

4. Clean the monitors with the gray 3M cloth to wipe the fingerprints and use the little spray bottle on the cloth for challenging spots.

5. There should be no wooden chairs at computer workstations—replace them with rolling chairs.

6. Dust the printer and MFP. Wipe the cabinet and table tops in the printing area, including behind equipment.

7. Whiteboards - clean them with water and paper towels (not erasers). Use Mr. Clean Magic Pads and water to clean marker marks off the walls around whiteboards.

8. Group study rooms (6)—6 rolling chairs around each table. Tables wiped clean. Whiteboards wiped clean with towel and water. Use Magic Pads to remove marker marks off the walls around the boards.

Please be thorough! Take as much time as you need, but please make sure to really do the deep cleaning and get everything that needs to be cleaned. Go slowly and do it right.

Thanks!
