Goizueta Business Library

Please review the steps that we should take when assisting GBL patrons with specific requests for resources or GBL subject librarians.

#1. Do not send any patrons over to the GBL library for any reason (unless they are simply looking for the location of it). The Goizueta business library does not have a dedicated service desk, nor do they have subject librarians who are readily available. Our graduate supervisors and on-desk reference librarians should first attempt to handle all GBL research questions.

#2. If we are unable to assist these patrons with basic GBL questions such as accessing a database, office hours, etc., we must direct them to the ASK online link for the GBL library. https://business.library.emory.edu/help/ask-online.php

#3. If they would like to meet with a specific business librarian, please direct them to this link on the GBL website. https://business.library.emory.edu/help/ask-a-librarian.html

#4. GBL Research Guides: Supervisors, please review the GBL research guide page for resources readily available to GBL students. Before directing them to the ASK online link, please access this page and search for appropriate resources. I will be following up with each of you to confirm that you have reviewed these resources. http://guides.business.library.emory.edu/?b=t

Please remember that we are not to refer anyone over to the Goizueta Business Library. Supervisors and Reference Librarians should try assisting them first, and if we are unsuccessful in fulfilling their request, direct them to the ASK online page on the GBL website. Student assistants, please ask your shift supervisor if you receive any GBL inquiries that you are not able to assist with.
