New LSD Team Member Spotlight: Miriam Kilimo

Post date: Sep 06, 2017 7:44:1 PM

My name is Miriam Kilimo, and I’m from Nairobi, Kenya. I attended Dartmouth College for my undergraduate studies, where I majored in Anthropology. Looks like that wasn’t enough, so I decided to enroll for a PhD in Anthropology at Emory. After the long years of this doctoral degree, I hope to be done with schooling, but I dream sometimes of getting a law degree and an MFA. I enjoy hiking and writing short stories. My favorite movie is Silver Linings Playbook. I don’t have a favorite song, but I love and have listened to most of Jaci Velasquez’s and Enya’s music. I look forward to learning more of the secrets of Woodruff library. My favorite quote is by Aung San Suu Kyi: “You must remember that I grew up with my mother, so I took it for granted that women could do anything.”

Please welcome one of our newest LSD Student Supervisors to our Team!!! Ms. Miriam Kilimo....
