REMINDER: EaglePrint job cost for non-Letter files and MyPrintCenter

Post date: Feb 05, 2019 12:58:17 PM

All,

If you were able to attend one of the EaglePrint info sessions earlier this month, you'll remember that I brought up the topic of a $10,000/page job cost for file uploaded to MyPrintCenter that are on non-Letter sized paper; in hopes of preventing students from trying to print files that will not actually print at EaglePrint stations. At this time, I plan to enable this on MyPrintCenter starting Wednesday, February 6th.

As part of this, I have published a webpage (link below) with directions regarding how to change the paper size in a few different ways that I have identified as the most common, based on the file type and/or operating system. I will also add a link to this page in MyPrintCenter that will look like this:

This way, hopefully, students can see this and help themselves. But, should students come to you, you will be able to direct them to this link within MyPrintCenter or this site:http://it.emory.edu/studentdigitallife/services/eagleprint/10000pagecost.html.

Note that this job cost method only applies to files uploaded to MyPrintCenter. If a student actually needs to print on non-Letter sized paper, they will need to send the file via the installed EaglePrint_BW or EaglePrint_Color queues and provide that paper in the manual feed tray prior to releasing the print job from the release station or embedded application.

If you have any questions or concerns about this change, please let me know ASAP.

Thanks.
