COVID Opening Desk Procedures

  • Unlock the single sliding glass door separating the desk area from the staff area.

  • Deliver curbside & inside appointment materials to their location.

    • Verify that all materials for each patron are on the cart. Check the general holds shelf, ILL shelf, and missed appointment shelf to verify materials.

  • Identify missed appointment materials and mark the date of the missed appointment (the day prior) on the attached name slip.

  • Send "Missed Appointment" courtesy email to all missed appointments. (Template Attached Below)

  • Print out the Appointment Calendar for the Supervisors desk.

  • Remove expired holds from the general holds shelf via Alma.

  • Check printer paper levels and supply cabinet on Level 2. (supply check sheet is on the supervisor desktop and here)

  • Check the LSD voicemail. The message button will not illuminate with there is a message, so we need to check every morning. Directions are here.
