Robert 1st, Duke of Normandy (1028-1035), gave the church of Pibeuf to Rouen Cathedral, to Archbishop Robert (989-1037). Around 1050 Richard de Bondeville gave the abbey of Mont Sainte Catherine all the tithe of Pibeuf and six fields of good land. Finally from the 13th century the patronage returned to the priory of Beaulieu.
This church was located at the convergence of several trails and was the nucleus of the village.
Pastoral visits emphasized above all the poverty and disorder that reigned in this parish. In 1696 Archbishop JN Colbert (son of the Minister) noticed that the church had many needs but an income of 10 pounds per year was not enough to maintain the divine service. As a result, it subjected the "big contributors" to pay for the necessary repairs. In 1719 the church was found in good condition. However, dampness and darkness degraded the building.
The liturgical furniture was also very modest. The altar of the choir did not have a buttable or canopy and the altars of the two chapels were no better provided.
After the suppression of Pibeuf parish the church was assigned to Saint André Fabrique who sold it. The sale price was half the price of Saint John church (650 francs instead of 1267 francs). This shows that Saint Jean church was able to benefit from the support of rich families (Paris, Dufour ...). From 1998 the remains of the building have been used for agriculture.
