The war memorial

The monument to the dead was erected in the churchyard following a deliberation of the municipal council of 18 June 1919 for the burial of the village natives "Morts pour la France"; this deliberation was confirmed by the Prefect.

A public subscription with quest allowed to collect 2101 francs and fifteen cents in addition to the 1000 francs participation of the municipality.

A quote was requested from Mr. Duchauchoy in Rouen. It proposed a "monument of Lorraine stone, coated and polished with rough parts, border and four chained bollards" at a cost amounting to 3100 francs; the masonry was made using old stones found in the cemetery.

"Honour to the Brave" is engraved at the top of the monument, below the war cross in collective tribute to the 10 names mentioned.

Louis Henri Houdement, private in the 154th Infantry Regiment, class 1913, born on February 18, 1893 at La Rue St Pierre, died for France on August 22, 1914 in Fillières (Meurthe and Moselle), on the battlefield. Joseph Ernest (known as Albert) Vallée, private in the 129th Infantry Regiment, class 1913, born on July 6, 1893 at La Rue St Pierre, died for France on September 18, 1914 in Courcy-Brimont (Marne), and disappeared. The judgment was handed down on 29 January 1936 by the Rouen Court, transcribed on 10 February 1936 at La Rue St Pierre.

Maximilien Cordier, private in the 5th Infantry Regiment, class 1902, born on July 18, 1882 in Montérolier (76). Number: 015147 to the body, 2507 to the recruitment Rouen Nord. He died for France on September 30, 1915 at Mont St Eloi Berthouval (Pas de Calais), killed by the enemy. The act was transcribed on December 16, 1915 at Vieux Manoir (76).

Marie Louis Raoul Beuvant, private in the 5th Infantry Regiment, class 1905, born on August 21, 1885 in St André-sur-Cailly, died for France on October 12, 1915 at St. Riquier Hospital No. 37 (Somme), of illness contracted to the armies. The excerpt from the death register was sent to the mayor of La Rue St Pierre on October 12, 1915.

Juste Lubin Monfray, private, 329th Infantry Regiment, class 1896, born on September 6, 1876 in St Martin d'OsmonvilleOsmonville, died for France on October 23, 1915 at La Croix en Champagne, Ambulance 11/20 (Marne), from war wounds. Transcribed on February 12, 1916 at La Rue St Pierre.

Henri Emile Dussaux, private in the 28th Infantry Regiment, class 1916, born on April 13, 1896 in Clères, died for France on March 4, 1916 in Villers-Cotterêts (Aisne), of illness contracted at the front. Excerpt from the death register was sent on March 5, 1916 to La Rue St Pierre.

Henri Joseph Biville, private in the 17th Infantry Regiment, class 1913, born on February 12, 1893 at La Rue St Pierre, died for France on April 25, 1916 at La Rue St Pierre of illness contracted in command. It was transcribed on December 6, 1919 at La Rue St Pierre.

Auguste César Varin, private in the 74th Infantry Regiment, class 1902, born on July 25, 1887 at La Rue St Pierre, died for France on May 23, 1916 in Douaumont (Meuse) and was declared disappeared in combat. The judgment was handed down on 19 May 1920 by the Rouen Court and transcribed on 15 July 1920 at La Rue St Pierre.

Henri Raoul Ladorne, private in the 5th Infantry Regiment, class 1912, born on February 15, 1892 at La Rue St Pierre, died for France on June 1, 1916 in Douaumont (Meuse), killed to the enemy. The judgment was handed down on 14 April 1919 by the Rouen Court, transcribed on 25 April 1919 in Rouen.

Louis Eugène Chauvet, 2nd gunner driver of the 134th Heavy Artillery Regiment. Born on March 25, 1882 in Morgny-la-Pommeraye (76), class 1902. Matricule 10859 at the Corps, 1280 for Rouen Nord recruitment. Died for France on November 8, 1918 at ambulance 15/13 SP 65 Bussy-le-Château (Marne) of illness contracted in the armed forces (Broncho influenza pneumonia). Act transcribed on August 23, 1919 in La Rue-Saint-Pierre (76).
