The building of department roads

The plotting of the county roads was submitted to the city council, which had to deliberate on them. The discussions were harsh, the proposals of the prefectural administration sometimes fought as were the interests of influential owners. A good many deliberations were taken in this way and budgets were allocated to speed up work. This was the big deal of the 1840s - 1870s.
