Your next project…

Your next project…

Your next project is not as important as your current project.

Your current project is the most important project you can work on until you start your next project.

Your current project has lessons to teach you.  It has craft, style and grace but most of all it is you at this particular time and that is a good place since it is on the road from where you have been, to RIGHT HERE AND NOW, then on to the place, you are going.  Be here, be now, and be learning so the next project is even better.

Just received the weekly screen craft email.  It is about “25 Rare Cormac McCarthy Quotes On Writing”

After reading it I am certainly impressed by what he’s written and his philosophy.  I plan to adopt most of it.  It is a fantastic read.

I like number 17 best:

“Even if what you’re working on doesn’t go anywhere, it will help you with the next thing you’re doing. Make yourself available for something to happen. Give it a shot.”
