What inspires you?

Kim Carter Herron was inspired by a visit to a cemetary in town of Biloxi, Mississippi for her book, “Sweet Dreams, Baby Bell” according an article in The Newnan Times-Herald and the website:

It could be nature, sunsets, history, specific character traits in your family or relatives or someone you know, cars, wars, almost anything can inspire you and get your juices flowing and give purpose to you and inspire you to write. It may be noble or debased, it may be grand and eloquent or poverty and oppression, it may be an extremely simple thing or one that is all tied up and excruciatingly difficult. All the extremes work well for inspiration, heaven and hell, gods and devils, good and bad, rich and poor, saints and sinners but the in-betweens can work as well and give you the shades of gray you need to stand out and use more than the extreme contrast. Examine your inspiration with thought and a detached look in order to ensure and focus on that one thing that makes your inspiration stand out from others who’ve used that same one.

Another article on author inspiration is located on Huffington Post, the website is:

It is entitled, “What inspires authors to write their novels?” It is good reading.

Find your inspiration for writing or whatever compels you and propels you into action. Since inspiration alone without action is just a motivation and until acted upon it remains in your mind and not out where the world can see it.

Thanks for inspiring me, Dear Writers and Dear Readers, I love the motivation that you give to me. Let me give back to you.
