Would ya for a...

Let's say you have someone interested in something you have.

Would you sell it for a $1,000,000?

Would you for a $100,000?

Would you for a $1,000?

Depends on what it is, right?

Well, you would have to spend some time producing the product.

How much time?

Say, 500 hours. Whoa, that is a lot of time.

There are 8765.81 hours in a year so we are talking 1/17th of a year. If it were 1/12th of a year (I am rounding to make it easy to see and do which is about 750 hours a year) say that is a month worth of work to spread out over the year. 750 hours a year is 62.5 hours a month. And dividing further it is about two hours a day. Say that is not bad, only two hours a day then if you had to stop watching TV for a hour and get up 1 hour earlier for an hour it is very doable. IF YOU HAVE THE WILL!!!!!

Well, for a million dollars who wouldn't? That is $1333 per hour.

And for $100,000, that is $133 per hour.

And for $1000, that is $1.33 per hour.

So the payoff works for a million and a hundred thousand, now the $1000 may not be worth it and it is a crap shoot writing a novel, book, etc.

Sometimes there is a pay off and sometimes not, but let's look at other pay offs.

How about self esteem? How about accomplishment? How about getting better and the practice and the, well you get the picture?

There are so much you will receive out of writing even if it is not a million dollars. You will be able to add other factors that go beyond self-esteem, accomplishment, better, practice. So list them. NOW! Make a list of what YOU would get out of it, because it is for YOU and YOU only.

So do this one thing for yourself. No other reason, not for any amount of money since that is a gamble and gambling may or may not pay off but what it does for you is priceless.

Try it and see.
