Find a good Write Coach.

Promise: I will be fair and unbiased and give you useful advice. I will not demean you, be unconstructive or hurt you. I will do my utmost to help you. Not only will I tell you what you need to hear but I will also focus on positive aspects. Emotionally supporting you and building you up is way more important than tearing your manuscript apart.

Qualifications: I am qualified having been published and being a writer for 40 years. See my About tab for more information about my experience.

You set the boundaries and expectations. Tell me clearly what you expect and what the boundaries are and these may be explained at any time in the process. Some days will be better for you than others and just tell me a simple; I am not ready to hear that now will do.

We can meet online via email, Skype or possibly in person depending on your location and time constraints and travel. Generally, email is preferred.

Last but not least we may agree that some suggested changes are just that, suggestions, and you may or may not implement any or all of them you desire. It is your work and manuscript. You decide what you want to do with the information I give you.
