10 Core Personality Traits for personal change
  1. Self-awareness
  2. Desire to feel better
  3. Belief that it is possible to feel better
  4. Rigorous self-honesty
  5. Humility
  6. Open-mindedness
  7. Detachment from others
  8. Willingness
  9. Persistence
  10. Personal responsibility
My take on this list is that they are all nice to have.  The one and only one that is essential to us, Dear Writers, is persistence.

Persistence allows us to persevere in spite of odds that may be against us.  A person in my book club stated that they don’t have more ability or talent than many people.
They just have persistence which enabled them to have several books published.

These are the people who I surround myself with.  People who encourage me, who won’t doubt me, who push me to my limits and beyond; those are the people I want in my corner and rooting for me.  All others may just step out of the room and don’t come back in until their attitude changes.  I will not be stopped nor will I listen to nay-sayers, doubters or anyone who is not firmly behind me and my efforts.

Life is too short for those type of people and who needs their negativity.  Learn from your mistakes and take corrective actions or you will become insane by doing the same thing over and over and getting the same results.  Every time you tweak your approach you are adapting and overcoming obstacles.

Persevere and Persist and you will succeed.
