01-About the Writer

This is an exciting time. David Alan Binder has a service called Write Coach. He personally will read and make comments and suggestions on your articles, novels, books, poems, manuscripts, etc. This service is entirely free (for a time). Since this is starting out we'll see how it goes and, of course, if demand goes up too high then changes will have to be made but for now it is entirely free. Let's collaborate!

David Alan Binder is an accomplished writer having a BS Degree from Mount Mercy University (dean's list) and a Master's Degree from San Diego State University (3.4 GPA). He has been published 14 times, won 2nd place (serious category) with a monetary prize, won two honorable mentions and wrote numerous professional papers, thousands of articles and hundreds of reports.

As an aside over the years, he has won a plethora of radio contests with prizes ranging from an inflatable boat with motor, concert tickets by the score, and totaling in all thousands of dollars.

Happily married to a truly beautiful and talented woman who is my muse, my editor, my mentor and continually challenges me to be better every day.

David was assistant Boy Scout Master for 7 years and am the proud and loved father of 4 children, three boys who are Eagle Scouts, and are now respectively; an Electronics Technician, a Filter Fabricator and a QA Manager. Our daughter was the youngest person to carry the Olympic Torch in Iowa and is now a Certified Personal Trainer and challenges herself in Triathlons continually.

David has traveled to almost all 50 states, England, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Honduras and Canada. An avid swimmer, naturalist, rock collector, hiker, tent camper and fitness enthusiast. He has lived in Illinois, Arizona, New Mexico, Iowa and California

David is an advocate for being free to live without fear, free of judgement, living within your own karma and creating Zen moments for yourself and others. He believes in creating space for all creatures to live peacefully, respectful of all religions and affiliations as long as they do not infringe on the rights and freedoms of others.

David has worked, in order, as a lawn mower, dishwasher, car hop, detassler, state fair worker (2 summers), surveyor, draftsman, missionary / social worker, cashier, designer, supervisor, project manager. He has worked in the energy industry for 28 years, 17 years at a nuclear plant (fossil plants as well), 1 year in geothermal, 15 years in irrigation, solar, steam, hydro and other various types of energy.
