Good afternoon! This week's update will be the shortest yet as I am just straight up exhausted. I've been fighting some kind of bug all week, which has left me drained, but 4th block today was rather trying due to constant interruptions. If they weren't making an announcement over the intercom to release this or that group to this or that location, then they were calling the classroom to send this or that kid to x, y, and z. After about the 6th interruption, I told the kids to just start working on make-up work and/or quiz corrections and that we would try again on Monday. First and third block will get some extra catch-up time on Monday since they are further along (third a little less as the split-block due to lunch puts them a little further behind at times due to delays in lunch), but then we should hopefully be able to get back on track with everything Tuesday. We're still on pace and actually further along than the rest of 7th grade math, but I'm hoping we'll have less disruptions moving forward as we are quickly approaching the end of the term and the start "SOL season" (a.k.a. the final quarter/countdown).
I know this update hasn't been as informative as others, but that's about all I've got in me this afternoon. Let's all pray that the winter weather forecasted for Monday either skips us altogether or is so minimal it doesn't affect the schools' operations.
