Just a super quick update to help us all get back into the swing of things. With only a two-day school week last week, there isn't too much to share. The kids took the equations quiz over those two days along with getting pictures taken during math class on Tuesday. The overall results so far are really good, so it's great seeing all the kids really work to use all the strategies I've taught them. There are a few kids who didn't finish and those who weren't there, so they'll get to wrap it up during the first part of class tomorrow as the rest of the kids work on reviewing equations with an in-class scavenger hunt. We'll launch into working on inequalities by the end of class.
The kids were given another food permission letter on Monday (11/19) and were asked to get it back by tomorrow. Because this particular activity doesn't require as much prep work for me, I will still be able to take the letters (or emails from parents) on Tuesday, but only through the end of the school day as that's the absolute latest I can still accept them. I'll need to buy any remaining supplies once I leave work and will only be buying enough for the students with permission. Again, donations of supplies would be very much appreciated but are not required; I do ask that the donations also be in by the end of school on Tuesday. If students do not get permission in on time, they can always bring their own supplies (Oreos and pretzel sticks) in order to participate.
As always, if anyone has any questions, feel free to email at any time. Hope you all enjoyed some time with family this past week and that everyone has a great week!
