You guys! We made it!!! Somehow after this whirlwind of a year we've made it to the "official" last day of the school year!!!!! I can't believe that the last time I saw most of you was March 12th. When we waved goodbye that day, we jokingly called out things like "I'll see you when I see you!" and "See you someday!" while fully believing we'd see each other again that Monday. Little did we know that by the following afternoon (ironically Friday the 13th), our year would grind to a halt and we'd basically have to construct a new way of life. I don't know about you, but I still wake up most days thinking I dreamed up some bizarre sci-fi movie only to have that record-scratch moment of remembering that nope, it's really happening.
On Wednesday, I got to see a few of you again and I didn't realize how much I needed that until I saw the first kids rolling through (and maybe snagged a few rule-breaking hugs here and there?). I can't wait until I get to see you all again in the fall and maybe (hopefully) some of you even sooner. I know that plans are being made for summer sports to start again, so please let me know if you have games I could come out to watch. You all know how much I love walking and hiking by now if you follow my Instagram, so let me know if you wouldn't mind this old math teacher joining your family for a walk/hike while you fill me in on what you've been doing. Again, feel free to reach out if you need me in anyway, even if (perhaps especially if) you just need an ear to listen or someone to uplift you and support you. I'm so incredibly lucky to have had the chance to be your teacher please remember that you will always be one of my kids. I feel like I've learned just as much if not more from all of you as you hopefully learned from me. Keep learning, growing, evolving, and inspiring!!!
I love you all dearly and as always I wish for you to stay safe, happy, and healthy!
All my love,
Ms. Lambert
