Well, it looks like my predications today were correct so...
Math 7H Period 1/2
As promised, the key for the study guide is now accessible, though I'm still working to complete it at this moment. I should have it completed in the next hour or so (working on a few things at the moment). Students are encouraged to email/message any questions or ask them first thing tomorrow morning. After some thinking, I decided to go ahead and "greenlight" the test for students that usually need a bit more time than one class period. Students can start the test, but will not be able to submit today (password is test). Students are reminded to set up their test papers as usual and to bring them tomorrow. Since this is a summative test, they are not able to automatically complete an error analysis (corrections), but they can opt to spend their Lambie or Liberty Points to do so. Kids should hold off on any questions on the test until tomorrow, marking the problems for review if they need any clarification. Students who are not able to start the test today for whatever reason will have all of class tomorrow to work and can either complete whatever remains during the lunch block or stay after on Wednesday during my after school help session.
MSM2 Period 5/6 & 9/10
The test has been loaded and "greenlighted" so students can get started (password is test). They will not be able to submit today and they do not need to finish, but I did want them to have the extra time if necessary. The kids were told on Friday that in addition to their Smart Chart cards for the topics (Pythagorean Theorem, Angles, and Quadrilaterals) they would be allowed to use their study guides if we ended up being out today. Students are reminded to set up their test papers as usual and to bring them tomorrow. Since this is a summative test, they are not able to automatically complete an error analysis (corrections), but they can opt to spend their Lambie or Liberty Points to do so. Kids should hold off on any questions until tomorrow, marking the problems for review if they need any clarification. Students who are not able to start the test today for whatever reason will have all of class tomorrow to work and can either complete whatever remains during the lunch block or stay after on Wednesday during my after school help session.
I hope everyone stays warm and enjoys the snow day today!
