¡Buenas dias! We're in the home stretch folks! The week has again filled with coding as unfortunately a number of students hadn't finished their coding PBL, so I gave additional time for that. I hope everyone has had a chance to play their child's game, but if they haven't sent it to you, please ask them about it! It really is impressive work and hopefully has inspired some of the kids to start thinking about the possibility of pursuing coding in the future. As students finished, they moved onto the final project, the previously mentioned Math Art Gallery. I've enjoyed observing the ideas the kids have come up with when looking for the math around them as it shows a greater understanding and appreciation of the math we've covered this year. With all other assignments being due today, the only grade left will be this math art gallery, which the kids can wrap up on Monday. Hopefully we'll have nice enough weather that we can perhaps get outside and take pictures with the Chromebooks for them to add to their work.
Even with grades being wrapped up by Monday for my classes, there will still be plenty to do throughout next week (check out the Daily Agenda for a sneak peak at the plans) and will hopefully leave them with a greater appreciation of how math can be so much more than just a thing you have to do for school.
With the year winding down, there really isn't much more to pass along but as always, if you have any questions please feel free to email. Hope you all have a great weekend!
