Good afternoon! It's been a productive short week despite the snow, but I'm still going to keep this update short as I'm trying to get fully prepped (plans finalized, all digital components set up, and papers copied) through the week we return from break. I have plans fully set for next week (barring any more snow days) and will have copies made hopefully by Tuesday so if any students are leaving early for winter break, please reach out so I can send the kids off with everything they need to stay caught up. I will hopefully be fully prepped for the week we return by the end of the day Wednesday, so again please reach out if you already know your child will be returning late from break.
As mentioned in last week's delayed update, we continued working on linear inequalities, which has gone fairly well despite all of the disruptions we've encountered. That being said, I still proceeded with going through the topic formative with the kids today. Since I'm going over various test taking strategies (including various "Desmos tricks") as part of this process, we only got halfway through in each class and I'm planning to finish with them on Monday before they start their unit summative, which will be finished in class the next day as needed.
That should cover the highlights, but please feel free to email if you have any questions, though I do want to remind everyone that I generally do not respond to emails outside of working hours in efforts to establish a more healthy work/life balance.
