Heather from Taft TN contacted me - her kitty "Lady May" was 50 ft up a tree and needed help. The next morning after some storms had passed I drove out to their farm. Heather was at work, but Lance (Heather's hubby) met me and led me to a tree that was down a slope in the back yard. "Lady May" was hanging out at 50 ft, giving a small meow every now and then. We were also joined by Liz, Heather's sister, who sweet talked to Lady May and kept her calm during rope setup. I started up the rope and was soon at height with Lady May. She was not thrilled about my presence and was not that interested in the treat bag. As I inched myself closer using a lanyard, she stood up and started heading further out the limb. My heart sank at that, but all she was doing was getting some space to turn around - she soon headed back to me within grabbing distance. Lady May held still as I scruffed her, and did not complain going into the Kat Bag. Soon she was back on the ground and headed inside with Liz for food, water, and rest! Lance and Liz, thanks for all of your help during the rescue. Lance, thanks for the gallon bag of black berries, yummy!!!
