Leilani from Hartselle AL contacted me - she had received my contact information from the Hartselle Fire Department. Their family kitty "Luna" had been stuck high up a tree for two nights, could I help? I packed the truck and headed out. Luna was stuck on a neighbor's property, and Dennis met me when I drove up. He was concerned about the kitty as well and helped me pack gear to the tree. Luna was about 50 feet up a very skinny pine tree, but fortunately there was a nearby pine tree that was somewhat larger and not as wobbly. During rope setup we were joined by Leilani, Jacob and two very concerned small children. As I climbed, Luna meowed loudly, hoping for a rescue. I positioned myself above her to prevent escape further up the tree, but the only place Luna wanted to go was to my lap! I readied the Kat-Bag, reached over, and Luna cooperated with the nab. Back on the ground, Luna was taken inside for some well-deserved food, water and snuggles! All ended happily, which I truly love! Jacob, many thanks for the generous donation!
