OKtoc - OH NO!

(late October 2020)

Executive Summary

"Oktoc" was stuck again. I had been contacted about Oktoc the previous week, but she came down overnight. This time, no such luck but Oktoc was stuck only 15 minutes away from my house in Starkville MS. When I arrived, Maria led me to a tree in the neighbor's back yard, where Oktoc was crying her heart out, up about 35 feet. During the rope setup, Oktoc became spooked and came down about 5 feet, settling in a wide crotch. She watched anxiously as I approached her, ready for a rescue. After accepting a couple of scritches, Oktoc went into the cat bag with no complaints. Back on the ground, Maria took her inside for food and water. We both hope that Oktoc stays out of trees in the future! Maria, many thanks for your generous donation to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society!
