The night before Jessie's rescue I received a call at 10:00 pm from a young man in Oxford MS about his kitty stuck in a tree. I told him that I would contact him the next day for details. The next morning after the Jessie rescue, I tried contacting hime but received no response to calls or texts. Later that afternoon, Good Samaritan Mary S. called me from Oxford concerned about a kitty stuck in a tree near her house. I went to Oxford and rescued the kitty with Mary's help and assistance from neighbors Kayla and Quita. Mary said she saw people with cell phone lights calling the kitty the previous night, and I wondered if it was the same person who had contacted me. I tried calling again but got no answer, so we left a note on the tree and Mary took the kitty to the local shelter (MS Critterz). When I got home, Mary contacted me and asked for the phone number. When I looked on my phone, I realized they had left a voice mail as well, which had their complete name and address which was close to the rescue location. I relayed all of this to Mary and she was able to contact the owner, who retrieved 'Granvy' from MS Critterz the next day. Mary, many thanks for being so caring!
