"JOsie" Needs Help

(early April 2021)

Executive Summary

On the drive back from the stray/Caledonia rescue, I received a call from Greg in West Point, one of their kitties had been stuck for two nights, could I help? I was passing through Columbus at the time and could be there in 20 minutes. Jordan, a third year Mechanical Engineering student at MSU, met me on arrival as Greg (his dad) was at work. Jordan had been worried sick about Josie and was glad to see me. Josie was about 25 feet up a hardwood, crying loudly, and moving about some small branches. It did not take long to set a rope and reach Josie's height. She was initially shy, but warmed up and came to me for an easy grab. Jordan took charge of her on the ground for snuggles, food and water. Greg and Jordan, many thanks for your extremely generous donation to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society!
