Bonnie contacted me early in the week about a stray stuck kitty near Columbus MS. Because of the drive length (3 hours), I asked her to try local resources first. I talked to Bonnie again on Friday night, and the kitty was still stuck, but a climber was going to try the next day. I promised to come out on Sunday if needed. At Saturday noon, Bonnie told me the rescue had failed, so I planned to drive over on Sunday. She also told me about another stuck cat near there, so I planned to do both rescues on Sunday. Bonnie called back on Saturday night to tell me her husband and a friend had hauled a food bucket up to the stuck kitty. On checking the bucket a couple of hours later, the kitty had disappeared out of the tree. However, the other stuck kitty (Marbles, who I had rescued one year previously), was still stuck. I was met by Elizabeth (Marble's mom) when I arrived the next day. Marbles was in a neighbor's yard (Penny), and about 35 feet up. It did not take long for me to reach Marbles, and he was happy to see me - I guess he missed me! After an easy Nab-N-Bag, Marbles was soon back on the ground. Elizabeth, many thanks for your generous donation to the local Columbus Humane Society!
