"RAMBO" Cannot Climb Down

(late Mar 2020)

Executive Summary

On a Tuesday morning, I noticed that I had a late night text message late from Sessums -- his kitty, 'Rambo', had been stuck for five days in Philadelphia MS and he had just found my contact info. I responded and said that I could be out that day. Sessums is a young man who is a special needs teacher working in the Philadelphia public school system, and is currently living in his family's cabin next to the Neshoba county fairgrounds. Sessums greeted me on arrival, and pointed way up a hardwood next to the cabin -- Rambo was hanging out at about 50 feet. Rambo moved around during rope setup, but did not appear spooked. As I climbed near him, he rubbed his head on the limb and looked happy to see me which is always a good sign. Rambo retreated a little ways up the tree when I reached my tie-in, but a yummy food bribe soon had him back in grabbing distance. Rambo did not fuss as I did the scruff-N-bag. Back on the ground, I handed Rambo-Bag over to Sessums to be brought inside. Rambo is going to start staying inside at night to prevent a repeat occurrence. Sessums, many thanks for your generous donation to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society!
