"Tobi" in Trouble

(late Apr 2020)

Executive Summary

Blanca from Oxford MS contacted me about Tobi, he had been stuck up a pine tree for two days. Tobi had previously climbed trees four times but had come down each time. But this was different, help! I was met on arrival by Blanca and her daughter Jennifer. Tobi was about 25 feet up a large pine tee, sitting on a rotten stub. The tree was on the edge of a small peninsula that jutted into a large, deep depression. The throw bag shot went over several limbs and had to be isolated -- Blanca and her daughter descended into the crevasse and helped me isolate the rope. Tobi was calm throughout, and watched with interest as I climbed. He accepted some scritches and then went into the Kat Bag with no complaints. Back on the ground, Blanca took him inside for food and water. Blanca, many thanks for your EXTREMELY generous donation to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society! As per the times that we live in, all maintained proper social distancing during the rescue!
