"Flash" is Unsettled

(late April 2021)

Executive Summary

Mellissa's new elder kitty 'Flash' was having trouble adjusting to his new home. Flash went up a tree the very first night he was at his new Fulton MS home, and had been there for three nights. After arrival, Melissa led me to a young oak tree where Flash was hanging out at 25 ft on a long horizontal limb. Once I was at his height, Flash was not interested in coming to me until I brought out some kitty treats and rattled the bag. That got his attention; he came to me and was soon safely in the Kat Bag. Back on the ground, we put Flash in a dog crate to settle him down, but he did not like this. We let him out, and he retired under the deck where he settled down to rest up. Melissa put food, water and his kitty bed in easy reach. Melissa, many thanks for your generous donation to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society!
