Three Rescues  - Unknown, Kori, Norman

(Early Nov 2023)

Executive Summary

This post is about three rescues.

The  first rescue description is purposefully vague for privacy reasons. I  was contacted by Miss K about an unknown kitty who has been stuck in a tree in her yard for tree days. A friend (Mr. G) had attempted a rescue with a 40 ft ladder but the kitty was at 50 ft up so it was just out of reach. When I arrived, the kitty was crying loudly for a rescue. I put a rope at about the kitty's height, and used the ladder and rope to reach the kitty, who practically jumped into my arms. Back on the ground, Mr. G took charge of the kitty with adoption in mind.  Mr. G, many thanks for your generous donation to Lovable Feline Rescue of North Alabama.

Kera from Guntersville contacted me about  Kori, her daughter's kitty that had been stuck in a neighbor's tree for three days. On arrival, Kera and Jeremy led me to a large oak tree, where Kori was comfortably nestled in a squirrel nest about 30 ft.  I put a rope in the tree and was soon at height with Kori, who was extremely interested in my kitty treats. After a quick Grab-N-Bag, Kori was back in the arms of Kera, who took her inside for food and water.  Kera and Jeremey, many thanks for your generous donation to Lovable Feline Rescue of North Alabama.

The next day Brian from Huntsville contacted me about Norman, their young rescue kitty who likes to climb trees.  Brian had contacted me just the previous week, but was able to get Norman down that time by a ladder+pickup truck rescue. However, Norman was a bit too high in this instance for the same rescue to work. When I arrived, Norman was about 25 ft up and crying for a rescue. I was soon up in the tree with Norman, a friendly kitty who made for an easy grab.  Back on the ground, Norman was taken inside, hopefully to stay out of trees for  awhile!  Brian, many thanks for your generous donation to Lovable Feline Rescue of North Alabama.
