"AVA" Explores The Ether

(early Feb 2020)

Executive Summary

I was driving to Blue Springs to rescue Poxie when Kelly called - "Ava", her calico rescue kitty had decided to explore the ether by climbing a pine tree in their backyard. I told Kelly that I would rescue Ava on the way back from Blue Springs. When I arrived, John (Kelly's husband) and Kelly led me to the back yard where Ava was hanging out at 20 feet. During rope setup, she moved on the other side of the tree and little higher, but was not spooked. When I reached her limb, Ava came to see me before I had my bag ready, so she got to hang out in my lap for a while. Ava was a sweetie, and did not complain about being stuffed into the bag. Back on the ground, Ava received lots of attention from John, Kelly, and their teenage daughter Claire. Kelley and John, many thanks for your generous donation to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society!
