Greg from Huntsville called me, his daughter's kitty "CatCat" (actually, just 'Cat' but I will dub thee 'CatCat' for clarity) had been stuck overnight in a tree and all rescue efforts failed, HELP! Greg was only 20 minutes away from me and it was a beautiful spring day, excellent for tree climbing, so I was soon at his house. CatCat was about 30 feet up, in a perfect branch union for the rope, but occuppied by CatCat. While we were discussing options, CatCat moved out of the union, so I shot a throw line up there and hit it first try. This caused CatCat to come down to about 25 feet and out on a limb, which was perfect - this way she would not go higher in the tree. I started climbing and was soon at CatCat's limb. She cautiously sniffed my hand, and allowed me to grab-N-bag her without too many complaints. Back on the ground, Greg took her inside for food, water, snuggles. During chit-chat with Greg during tear down, I learned that we both grew up in South Louisiana so we had so further discussions about our backgrounds -- meeting new people is one of the side benefits of saving kitties from the clutches of nasty trees!
