Lena from Rainbow City AL contacted me - her kitty "Boo" had been stuck in a pine tree near her apartment for two nights, could I help? I asked her to check for local help first, but said I could do the rescue the next day if no help was available. The next morning, Boo was still stuck so I drove down and arrived mid-morning. Lena led me to a smallish pine tree where Boo was hanging out at about 35 ft, crying for help. I put a rope above "Boo" and started up. As I neared him, I looked up just in time to see him almost fall trying to come down to me. This made me hurry the rescue, and I messed up turning on my camera so no video is available. When I reached him, Boo was barely hanging on - he hissed a bit in fright when I grabbed him as I did not have time to get make friends with him, but he went into the bag with no problems. Back on the ground, Lena took him inside for food, water, and sleep. Lena, many thanks for your generous donation - it will go to a pet rescue in Huntsville.
