Four Pasta Beef Bake

4 cups uncooked pasta (four different shapes)

1 lb ground beef

1 medium green pepper, diced

1 medium onion, diced

1 cup sliced mushrooms (fresh is nice, but if your town in like Grand Forks in the winter, canned in just fine)

2 jars (26 oz each) meatless spaghetti sauce

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 cups (8 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the beef, green peppers, onions and mushrooms over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.

Drain pasta and place in a large bowl; stir in beef mixture, one jar of spaghetti sauce and the egg. Transfer to greased 13 X 9 X 2 baking dish. Top with remaining sauce; sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.

Makes 8-10 servings.
