French Bread

Modified from West Bend

***Recommend bread machine use, but you could also cook this in the oven if you really wanted***

1 1/2 cup + 3 1/2 tbsp warm water

2 1/2 tbsp butter

5 cups bread flour

2 1/2 tbsp sugar

2 1/2 tsp salt

2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast

Put into bread maker in order your manufacturer recommends (this is mine). Put on French setting. Makes a 2.5 lb loaf.
