Aunt Maureen's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Modified from Aunt Maureen

1 cup shortening (that's one stick)

1 1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

1 tsp vanilla

3 eggs, beaten

1 cup (8 oz) sour cream

3 1/2 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 bag (12 oz) chocolate chips

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Alternately add flour and sour cream. Fold in chocolate chips.

Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350.
