Good For You Candy Chocolate Cherry Clusters

Modified from newspaper (Parade Magazine)

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips [it called for bittersweet chips, but I couldn't find those in my grocery store]

1 1/2 cups Cheerios [if you buy the multigrain, you'll get the most health aspects from this recipe - I just used regular Cheerios]

1 cup dried cherries

1 cup walnuts [I don't like walnuts, so we just put a few on top of some of the cookies so you could choose nuts or no nuts]

Microwave chocolate chips until melted. Stir in Cheerios and cherries. You can either stir in the nuts now, or put on top after you form the cookies. Drop clusters onto wax paper to solidify [what I did was put them in cupcake holders, so I could store them like that and keep them separate - worked really well]. I put them in the fridge to harden, but then kept them at room temperature as cold they are pretty hard to eat.
