Whole Wheat Bread

Modified from my bread machine manual

***Recommend bread machine use, but you could do this by hand if you wanted to***

2 1/4 cups + 1/2 tbsp water

1 egg (I used extra large, they said large)

2 1/4 tbsp molasses

2 1/4 tbsp honey

3 tbsp butter, softened

6 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (I've done this with barley as well...I did 2 cups wheat, 2 1/2 cups barley, 2 cups white)

1 1/2 tbsp vital wheat gluten (optional, but this helps it rise)

3 tbsp dry milk

2 1/4 tsp salt

1 tbsp + 1/2 tsp active dry yeast

Use whole wheat setting and this makes a 2.5 lb loaf.
