Beer Bread

3 cups bread flour (the recipe uses self-rising flour...I use the baking powder and salt with regular flour. I have also made this with regular flour and no baking powder or salt and it still came out fine....just took a little longer to cook completely.)
4 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar
1 can (12 oz) beer, room temperature
Preheat oven to 350. Mix ingredients thoroughly. Put in greased (I use Pam) bread ban. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and brush top of loaf with butter, if desired.
