Teriyaki Beef and Broccoli

Modified from Betty Crocker's Slow Cooker Meals

****Needs a crock pot****

1 lb stew meat

1 can (4.5 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained

1 medium onion, diced

1/2 cup condensed beef broth

3 tbsp teriyaki sauce

1 tbsp sesame seeds

1 tsp. dark sesame oil (option, I didn't use it, but I think I will next time for the extra flavor kick)

2/3 cup uncooked regular rice

1 1/3 cups water

2 tbsp water

1 tbsp cornstarch

2 cups frozen broccoli

Mix meat, mushrooms, onion, broth, teriyaki, sesame seeds and sesame oil in crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. About 35 minutes before serving, cook rice in 1 1/3 cups water as directed on the package. Meanwhile mix 2 tbsp water and cornstarch in a small bowl. Stir cornstarch mixture and broccoli into beef mixture. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 30 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Serve over rice.

Makes 4 servings.
