A beautiful April morning awaited Anne, Terry, Ray, Howard, Derek, Peter and John, reflecting Robert Browning's words "Oh, to be in England now that April's there." It was agreed that we should try out a new tea place, Low Woods Furnishings and the riders headed out across Garendon to Shepshed and thence to Belton, enjoying the spring blossom, daffodils and birdsong. After their repast the riders returned using the old railway track to Shepshed, the mud on which provided a challenge to the riders.
