A beautiful sprint day awaited Ray, Derek, Patrick and John. The riders decided to head for the Monastery tea rooms via Garendon Park and Charley Lane. There they met Jean and Keith Lakin. Keith had not been able to join the ride and a valve had failed resulting in him being unable to maintain pressure in one of his tyres. The riders returned to Loughborough for lunch enjoying as swift decent that Derek found particularly interesting as he was riding an old frame that he had restored which had a fixed gear, meaning the he had to keep his legs twirling and he did not have a freewheel.

Derek on his "new" old fixee (a frame found abandoned and has done up).
