A rather cool morning for July, but with plenty of sunshine, greeted Ray, Clyde, Eric, Derek, John plus new riders Robert and Joan. As Ray's knee was still recovering it was decided to have a gentle ride out past Mucklin Wood and then through Quorn to the Butter Market Cafe in Mountsorrel. After taking refreshment 'al fresco', Ray and Joan decided to take the shorter direct route home while the remainder of the group headed off down Slash Lane and then through Barrow on Soar to Cotes. Here Robert peeled of for Loughborough while the remaining four riders continued to Stanford on Soar, returning to Loughborough via Meadow Lane.
