Peter on a cold day.

Ray and Peter met at the Outwoods Drive roundabout during a snowstorm.

After deliberating, and since Peter had taken the morning off work, it was agreed to have a short ride to Quorn and return via Cotes. Fortunately, the weather improved on the way to Quorn.

It was an enjoyable stop at the Quorn teashop. Ray had the obligatory tea and toasted teacake while Peter indulged in his favourite - a double sausage cob. By the time the teastop was over, the sun was trying to come out.

Then it was on to Barrow upon Soar. The traffic was very quiet there thanks to the roadworks. Officially, traffic is prohibited but the roadworks were passable by pushing the bikes on the footway. The return via Cotes was uneventful. In case Meadow Lane was flooded, Nottingham Road was the route back to Loughborough.
