A bright but rather fresh sunny summer's day provided an excellent mornings cycling for Ray, Terry, Patrick, Chris and John. It was decided to head out towards Shepshed across Garendon Park and then joining Tickow Lane to head up into Charnwood Forest and the Monastery Tea Rooms. Ray was on his new bicycle and found that the gears were in need of some fine adjustment. Tickow Lane was being resurfaced with grit and to avoid a rather uncomfortable road surface the riders ended up exploring an untried cycle track that eventually led them back to their planned route. After an excellent repast outside the Monastery Tea Rooms the riders had a fast descent back into Loughborough in time for lunch.
