A somewhat grey day saw Howard, Rosalind, Phil, Marcus, Eric, Pat, Ian, Jeff , John plus new riders Chris and Roman gather at Outwoods Drive. By way of contrast to the previious weeks hilliest available ride, it was decided to take the falttest to Syston down the Soar valley. The riders headed south alongside the Epinal Way to Mountsorrel and then across to Sileby, Cossington and then taking the cycle track to the Grand Union Canal before turning east on the cycle route to Syston. On arrival in Syston, as the group was rather large for the Brook Cafe, Phil, Rosalind, Chris, Jeff, Marcus and John headed off round the corner to try out the Occasions Tea Room. Marcus, Phil, Rosalind and Chris wanted to get back and so set off early. The remaining group returned along the same route.
